November to remember

Hey all, yes I did just steal a the title of an old ECW pro wrestling pay-per-view event (which I’m sure you noticed), but rest assured there’s a very good reason.

November 2012 is shaping up to be an exciting month on the gigs front. For starters, on Friday the 9th November I’ll be performing at the inaugural Oxford Country Folk Songwriter’s Circle. The brainchild of Dava Waterhouse of country blues specialists Swindlestock, the night will involve me, Olly Wills from local boys made good The Epstein, Dava and Garry from Swindlestock and Lewis and Rachel from Ragdoll playing songs alternately for a (hopefully) grateful audience. The Port Mahon is the venue and it should be a hell of a way to start this welcome new musical night.

Saturday 17th sees me team up with Dava and Garry again as we play Ramsden’s Ramjam. Me and the Swindlestock guys will each be playing an hour-long set with mostly original material and 100% high quality country, folk and blues on offer. The show will take place at Ramsden Village Hall. Tickets are £10 and can be purchased by calling 01993 868170 or e-mailing goramjam@googlemail.com.

A week later, on the 24th, I’ll be playing my first gig at Modern Art Oxford, alongside an eclectic array of acts including New York indie band Raven & Chimes and local songstress Jess Hall. Ticket details aren’t yet available, but keep your eyes peeled…

As always, don’t forget to check back here regularly for updates and new gigs, as well as at www.facebook.com/agsconnollymusic.

Don’t miss nothin’!!
