So I suppose you people are probably foaming at the mouth by now in anticipation of my debut album release. Well, you’ll just have to wait. It won’t be out until early 2014, but ahead of that we’ll be doing some promotion so keep your eyes and ears peeled for news. Who knows, a track or two may appear on the airwaves. Keep your wireless handy!
First though, I wanna give you the rundown of the gigs I have lined up between now and the end of the year. This is sure to be added to before long but here goes:
1st November – The Cabbage Patch, Twickenham. Opening for Dean Owens, the Scottish singer-songwriter who produced my album and whose recent Johnny Cash Tribute, ‘Cashback’, has earned rave reviews. This gig is being organised by Drumfire Records, who released Dean’s album and will be releasing mine too.
14th November – Port Mahon, Oxford. Opening for The Good Intentions, a Liverpool-based Americana act who are staunchly traditional and are promoting their very well-received new album, ‘Travelling Companion’, also out on Drumfire Records.
16th November – What’s Cookin’, The Crown, Leytonstone. My first appearance at the legendary What’s Cookin’ nights, supporting Welsh band The Loving Cup. This night has played host to many top country and Americana acts and I’m looking forward to being part of it.
26th November – Oxford City Music Festival, Jericho Tavern, Oxford. I’ll be joining Swindlestock as one of their esteemed guests on this special night at the Jericho for the first Oxford City Music Festival. More acts to be announced and a guaranteed fun time to be had by all.
3rd December – Old Queens Head, London. A special show run by the people behind Camden’s excellent Green Note venue, I’m opening for Americana kings The Epstein in their last show of the year, along with Richard Neuberg from the band Viarosa. Should be an absolute cracker.
December tends to be a busy month so expect a few more to be added. As always, keep your eyes on the gigs page. Also, there may be few changes on this site as I’m hoping to have some new photos for you all very soon!! But if the idea of pictures of me doesn’t excite you, there’ll be more album news coming your way.
See you down the trail somewhere.
